founder story

I’m Laura, avid skiier and tech fanatic. I am purpose driven, and passionate about evolving the way we work.

I began my career trotting the globe and waging war on HR mediocrity. In 2015, I moved to the UAE and joined a small startup leading their People and Culture agenda. I was tasked with attracting superstar talent, (from Silicon Valley and the like) to join our dinky little startup in the dusty desert. Our onboarding plans were handwritten on the glass windows, and our team celebrated successes by gathering in unused garages – got to keep those costs low! I worked with inspirational people who championed our mission and were driven to achieve hockey-stick growth while simultaneously building an awesome organisation that inspires. Uber acquired this startup in 2019 for $3.1BN. (Yalla Tigers!)

Now, with Peoplosophies, I collaborate with entrepreneurs and tech businesses keen to build agile tech culture. We’re known for our innovative thinking and ability to deliver practical, pragmatic solutions and leverage technology to find new and creative ways of working. We focus on people first and drive impact with simple yet effective solutions. We solve global business challenges in innovative ways. I guess you could say we’re living the dream!
